Football is meant to be played by 300 pound men wearing helmets

I'm conflicted. I want to like soccer, sorry -- football -- but I don't. I really don't. I like football just fine. No, stay with me -- American football. John Madden and Tom Landry's football. It's soccer, football to the rest of the world, that I don't like. I should probably be more athletically enlightened, but I'd rather watch synchronized swimming than soccer. Photo taken by ADR Engineer Extraordinaire -- Ryan YoungI was just scanning through our iPhoto archives and saw this shot. Here's what a total geek I am: when I saw it the first thing I thought was, "Man I wish I still had that track ball."

Last year this time I was sitting in a parking lot cutting ADR while I waited to record Christian Slater. Now I'm sitting at a kitchen table in Scotland editing bagpipes on that same ProTools rig.

Antfield House B&B

We want to go back to Inverness, mostly to stay again at the Antfield House B&B. It's such a cool place, and the innkeepers are terrific.

Before it's life as a B&B, Antfield was a farmhouse, and it's still fantastically farmy all around. The kids fed the ducks in the yard each morning after breakfast, and our room overlooked a neighboring pasture with horses. Inside, on the other hand, was refined and charming.
