Wonderful Wellies
Owen and Ella have lived in Los Angeles all of their lives. Which means that they have lived their lives in a desert. People living in LA don't really think of it as the desert. We water our gardens and our lawns daily to keep things green and growing, we put big spraying fountains in all of our sprawling outdoor malls, we surround ourselves with green and water, none of which is ours.
So Owen and Ella have witnessed, on average, 39 days a year of rain in their desert lives. In Edinburgh, Scotland, the average number of rainy days is 147. I checked. It's quite a different life they're leading now. They've discovered umbrellas, rainbows, and wellies. Ahhh - wellies!! Is there a more simple pleasure than splashing through a puddle in your shiny wellies, daring the water to rise above your impenetrable rubber boots. Our kids LOVE their wellies, and can't resist any gathering of water when they have them on.

Did you know you can get liners for your willies...........I got mine online from Target, Yours probably are lined anyway, but if they are not the liners are snuggy and warm and removable. You have to put them on like socks and turn them over the tops of your boots.
I had to buy rain boots......or willies to you, because Georgis is having a fall monsoon season and we are all inches deep in water. We hope for inches deep in snow this winter.........sooo fun.
Ella and Owen, wish I could splash with you!
