Quick Postcard Of Sorts
There are so many ways to tell a story. Much to my families chagrin, I always pick the way with the most words involved. Well - not today! Today I will be short, concise, to the point. Today is a new day for me! A day of unlimited opportunity to use words wisely, and with prudence, and measure. To refrain from rambling on and on about things that don't pertain to the story at hand.
I suck. I'll try again.
Before Morocco we were in Italy: Pisa, Sienna, Florence, Pompeii, Rome.
When we leave Morocco we'll be in Madrid for a few days to catch our breath, and then we'll go to Peru. We'll be living in Cuzco, Peru for two months. We'll go to the Amazon, to Machu Picchu, to Lake Titicaca...
Then, we go home. We've booked our flight back to Los Angeles on August 10. As of yesterday, Bob has a job.
We have so many stories to tell you! So many pictures, videos, and stories are still in the pipeline that you'll be entertained for some time after the actual traveling has stopped. We will all be happy to pretend the 'real time' bit. After that the website will evolve...

Even the names of these places makes me sit here and grin, laptop in my lap, looking at four "ordinary walls," working in less exotic places. Thank you for your stories. And for these, ahem, concisely dangled carrots of all the stories we have to look forward to. And pictures too, yes? Yes. Travel well. And congrats to Bob.
LOVE the picture of the kids!
Pictures of Vesuvius are too hard for Lama to look at. Fourth incarnation .. vacation in Italy .. What could go wrong? 'Nuff Said.
...Lama...
Wow, I can't believe it's been a year already!!!! I will REALLY miss all of your posts as I felt like I was traveling along with you! The good news is that I have 2 more months before your LA return to read more wonderful adventure stories! Keep on traveling safe, look forward to seeing you when you return and looking forward to the remaining posts!!!
Carla :-)
ohh how exciting!! :D you guys are going to LOVE cuzco!! mom and i went there last summer and it was life changing...cant wait to hear all about it! enjoy enjoy enjoy! live it up! and don't worry about rambling too much, it must just be a girl thing cause i do it all the time too ;)) lots of love from (finally!) sunny stutty! xx
Have an amazing time! We just returned from Morocco and visited many of the same places you're headed. The diversity of the countryside is fantastic---especially across the Atlas and down to Merzouga--if that's the direction you're headed. The kids will love it--especially the stars in the Sahara. Love living vicariously through your experiences---you can't know how inspiring and fun it is to read all that you share. Thanks!
August 10th is marked in my calendar. Shall we have a triumphant return parade, like when the victorius Centurions would return to Rome. I think 1000's of cheering fans and maybe a Senate seat for Brenna (sorry Bob, you said you have a job) would be appropriate. Hail the returning heroes!!
I second the senate seat for Brenna! I nominate Owen & Ella for the president's cabinet next go-round. (Okay, BP, you just took a hit for 50 points and your charisma isn't high enough to reduce the damage...)
Last I looked I don't recall seeing Peru in Western or Eastern Europe, but I love tangents and am looking forward to hearing of all the adventures.
I am looking forward to the parade...
Hello Redpath family,
I finally had time today to check your website, I find it really interesting and such a great idea to share your travel with everyone you know and you don't don't know.
The website title FROMHERETOUNCERTAINTY makes me feel like I could travel with you anytime I want to escape from my routine :)
I enjoyed having you in my Inn and chatting with you, I spent a really good time and it felt like having family around.
I will certainly miss all of you and I will always remember you, and you will alaways be in my heart.
I will also never forget "eleonor sunset" and "owen sundown".
I hope that your trip to Madrid and peru will be as good as all the others even better.
Let's say see you soon and who knows maybe life will bring us together again.
Kind regards,
Hind
