Hi Bob and Family!
I went backpacking in Europe in 1994. We spent 2 weeks in a mountain-side hostel in the town of Gimmelwald, Switzerland. There are more accommodations as well if you want to stay in a hotel. Gimmelwald is located in the mountains above Interlaken (not to be confused with Grindelwald, a nearby ski resort). You have to check out Oberammergau in Austria, near Bavarian Germany! They have a live Passion Play only every 10 years and 2010 is the year. I heard it's awesome. We were there in 06 to see the little town but no play that year.
