Heading to the Highlands -- Again

Tomorrow we'll pile into the not-so-mini-van and hit the highway. This time it's the Isle of Skye or bust -- hopefully it'll be the Isle of Skye. After two nights there, we'll head to Loch Ness and Culloden for two more nights. We can't wait. We'll post pics.

I mean now that I'm in Scotland, he sounds kind of normal. I was watching late night BBC recently and, "You Only Live Twice" was on. To my ear his accent was nearly gone. Poof. He sounds just like everyone else around me. The Tesco clerk, the girl at the petrol station -- you name it, they all sound just like Sean Connery. Maybe that's why I like Scotland so much. I wonder, if we end up in Hong Kong, will I feel the same way about Jackie Chan?

Samhain: It's Like Halloween With Turnips and Howling

Happy November 1, or Day After Halloween. Around our home --  no matter where in the world that might be -- it's known as Day of the Sugar Coma.

This year Ella dressed as a vampire. Owen had planned on blackening his eyes and scrawling a "P" on a white t-shirt. Get it? A Black-eyed Pea. Then he found out
