The Inauguration -- Vicariously Anyway

Here's what I love about the internet. It's about the access that we have to the entire world  -- instant access at that. It's about community and sharing. It's about having an idea and seeing it come to life. It's about a boy and his mom having an experience of a lifetime at the Inauguration and him sharing it with the rest of us on his blog. Thanks, to our friends Finneas and Maggie, for sharing.

Welcome to the wonderful world of family travel! We are family 3 years into an open ended world tour & loving every moment of it! You will have the time of your life and be so glad that you made this decision, so remember that when you get bogged down in the very hard prep phase!

We are in a 15th century village in Spain for the winter and had a ball watching the inauguration live via the BBC on our TV. http://www.soultravelers3.com/2009/01/family-travel-photospain-obama-inauguration-09.html#more

We're beginning to understand the feeling of getting "bogged down" in the preparation phase that you mentioned. As the adrenaline wears off, many things are still on the to-do list -- including some we don't even know should BE on the list yet.

A 15th century Spanish village sounds great right now!
