...In Which Brenna Goes On And On About Shoes

It's kind of counting down time. We leave in a few months.  We've scheduled a Cocktail Tag Sale for a few weeks from now, where everyone will come and party and buy our stuff.  I have only a few more FRED's at church (a monthly dinner my friend Wendy and I head).  We have only a few more Park Days with our home school group. I have only two more meetings with my book club.  We met last Sunday and planned our 10 year celebration, which will also be my last meeting.  My fellow book club members, many of them talented quilters or artists, teased about how they would make some wonderful keepsake for me.  Something large and heavy that I would nonetheless feel obligated to take on the trip, hauling it from place to place, cursing them all the way.

Terror On The Tarmac

Now if we could just find lodging in Paris at the Salvation Army Store. It's official -- someone screwed up the economy of the entire world. Wait, no, that's not what I'm blogging about. Let's start over...

It's official -- we booked a flight to Belgrade, Serbia on June 22. I know this to be true because I got an email from our travel agent with a subject line that reads: Itinerary/ Invoice - Passengers: Redpath/ Robert (Party of 4) LAX-BEG ** Ticketed.

To the many friends and family members who have asked over the past few month, "are you still doing that crazy traveling thing?" The answer is

Haiku Results - The Dark Knight has a home

Congratulations to Rosalind for entering the winning Haiku for our Dark Knight DVD, complete with coupon for a Chocolate Delight.  Remember - coupon may or may not be expired, and we cannot be held responsible for disappointment of any kind.  Keep your hopes and dreams LOW please.

The old TV show

A classic for sure, the new?

Unknown to us now.

In other Kaiku news, there in no voting this week due to low public interest.  OR maybe people were so intimidated by the brilliance of the one and only Haiku posted for Mr. M&M Man that they just couldn't bring themselves to try and top it.  Congratulations Yo Lama.

Haiku #5 is up and running.  Check it out, but bring your high-school Swedish with you.  Those names are a bitch to pronounce!

They Say No Press Is Bad Press

Yesterday, a friend at work pointed out an editorial clipped from the Burbank Leader and he congratulated me on my new job status as an Executive at Warner Bros. According to the editorial...

In times like this, most executives would be inclined to cling to what they have at home rather than make plans for an improvised, expensive trip around Europe.

I'm not sure how long I've been an executive or even what my job description was supposed to be, but I think I might have some
