Jesus's Favorite Color

Yesterday we went to see the Catherdral in Bamberg. We've taken to lighting prayer candles whenever we visit a church, and having a small private moment as we do so. As Eleanor and I walked away from the candle stand she slipped her hand in mine and asked me "Is orange Jesus's favorite color?"

"I'm not sure I know Jesus's favorite color. Why?" I said.

"Whenever we light the candles," she said, "They're orange, and I thought maybe they were orange because it was his favorite color."

"The candles are orange because they're made out of beeswax." I told her, and I didn't even giggle once.

Looking into her eyes in the photograph, you can sure tell how much Elanor has changed and grown from these travels! Your kids are going to tell you over and over how grateful they are for this when they're grown up, whether or not they're telling you now (which they probably are). You're both fantastic parents!!!1

I'm pretty sure she's got it right. Once, though, he told me that crisp sky on a winter morning was a close second.

Dear Ones, Beautiful photo! Thru the voices of babes. I, too, enjoy the moment of lighting a prayer candle and taking that special moment afterwards. Many words (unspoken) but heard by me are delivered during those moments. Often times the words remind me of being grateful and guidance in my life. Most of the candles I have been lighting in the churches are white. Maybe they are not beeswax. Love and Hugs for sharing with your children.
