This fisherman lives in the village of Palma Real. We visited there for a few hours, and the whole time he never stopped mending his nets. He must have the strongest toes in the world!

We fished in this creek. Actually - Bob and the kids fished. I just sat and stared.

 

I remember as a kid, reading Dr Seuss books and loving those drawings of turtles lined up on logs. I thought they were so funny. I had No Idea that turtles actually did that! Check out the croc sleeping right beside them.

Here's a closer look. He was pretty lazy. We got close in our little canoe, and he didn't bother to move.

Our last morning in the Amazon Bob and I woke up early and climbed to the roof of the boat to watch the sunrise.
