Yesterday was my 8th birthday. We went to Afternoon Tea at the Caledonian Hotel In Edinburgh. We saw two rainbows on the drive there!

The tea was so fun! They had a cake with my name on it for me, and also a birthday balloon and a teddy bear! On the walls there were pretty birds with big fat feathers on their backs, like peacocks. I liked the huge chandelier in the stairway. It was hanging from a red velvet rope.

Our table looked out a big curved window at Edinburgh Castle. I had nettle tea. It poured out green, and then when I put lemon in it, it turned pink. My favorite sandwich was the cucumber.
