The text message came about halfway to San Francisco -- somewhere around the smelly cow place on the 5 freeway. It read, "House of Nanking. It's in the financial district. 919 Kearny St. Between Columbus and Jackson."

The day before, our friend Gerry had told about his favorite Chinese food restaurant in San Francisco, and was following up to make sure we got there. We're happy he did. There are plenty of online reviews available, so we won't go into that here. Let's just leave it at: It was a memorable dining experience with very good food. Since we let Owner & Chef, Peter Fang, order for us, we're not axactly sure of the name of everything we ate. The snapshots can tell the rest of the story.
